What is new: keep selling when the network drops
Dukaa team
Product
Dukaa is built so the till does not depend on a perfect connection. You can ring up sales on your phone when data is gone, then sync the basket, stock, and receipts when you are back online.
Why we shipped it this way
African retail does not pause for a tower. Markets, rural shops, and city stores under load shedding all need the same thing: finish the queue, take cash or note the mobile-money payment, and keep a record.
What you can do offline
- Search or scan products already on the device.
- Complete cash (and recorded) sales at the till.
- Keep working through the queue without an error screen.
What happens when you reconnect
Sales sync to the cloud. Stock levels catch up across the devices you use. If you run more than one branch, you see a consistent picture once each location has synced — not a fight between two notebooks.
Cloud backup still matters: when you are online, catalogue, sales, and customers stay available on any signed-in device. Offline is the safety net for the hours you are not.
